UCLA Asian American Studies Center proudly launches 'Foundations and Futures: Asian American and Pacific Islander Multimedia Textbook' the most comprehensive history of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders available online and freely accessible for high school, college, and lifelong learners (www.foundationsandfutures.org).
This landmark resource features 50 diverse chapters covering over twenty APPI communities, authored by the nation’s top scholars and experts. Chapters feature over 1,500 multimedia files and 250+ corresponding lesson plans developed by experienced classroom teachers and curriculum specialists.
'Foundations and Futures' redefines the American narrative by bringing Asian American and Pacific Islander stories into homes and classrooms around the world. This multimedia textbook will strengthen students’ historical empathy, opening unlimited possibilities for building a more inclusive, equitable, and democratic future for all.
