Help support the LSC during its second year. Latinx Success Center UCLA is a big place. For many students, finding a community that feels like home shapes their entire experience here. That is why the Latinx Success Center (LSC) exists. Now in its second year, the LSC is a place where students find family, connect with one another, and access opportunities to thrive. We work with and beside students as they find their path at UCLA and beyond. This month we welcome students back with the <a href="https://latinxsuccess.ucla.edu/programming/latinx-welcome-2026/">Latinx Welcome on October 8</a> and celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. To mark the moment, we are asking our community for 100 gifts by October 31. This goal is about participation. When we give together, it shows UCLA that this community stands behind the LSC. This month, if you give $25 or more, you can get your very own LSC T-shirt to show your support! Many of us found our footing because someone made room for us. The center also brings student organizations together and connects students to resources across campus. And every step of the way, students help shape the center through our two advisory boards. For alumni. The LSC connects current students with alumni and partners with the Latino Alumni Association, the Undocumented Alumni Association, and the Grupo Folklórico de UCLA alumni association. Many alumni have told the center they wish a space like this had existed when they were students. Now, it's here. For the community. K-14 schools, parent groups, and community agencies reach out to tour the center, hear from a student panel, and attend a presentation. By hosting the annual Latinx Welcome, we are inviting our broader Los Angeles community to step inside and join us. Para los estudiantes. Support Club Beach Volleyball's 2026-2027 Season!

UCLA's co-ed club beach volleyball team consists of about 60 players who represent UCLA against other universities and in league and national tournaments.

UCLA's co-ed club beach volleyball team consists of about 60 players who represent UCLA against other universities and in league and national tournaments. UCLA Club Beach Volleyball Who We Are The UCLA Club Beach Volleyball team consists of 60 student athletes that represent UCLA in NCSVA and SCCVL beach volleyball tournaments year-round. Our co-ed team is composed of many diverse students from around the world including first generation and international students. We also have students from the undergraduate and graduate programs, allowing athletes to build connections and support each other as they thrive through their academic career. Background Information Our team is under UCLA Club Sports, which helps provide us access to the beach volleyball courts for most of the year. However, the team is responsible for our own equipment, travel fees, uniforms, coaching fees, and tournament entry fees. While the athletes do pay an initial due at the beginning of each quarter, we are in need of donations to help maintain the high standard of competitive beach volleyball we play at while students face the financial burden of paying for tuition, housing, and food. We need YOUR help to achieve our goal of providing our athletes with the best access to competitive play. Your donation will allow us to play in more tournaments each quarter and expose our players to as many beach volleyball games as possible. We are The Backpacking Club at UCLA, a student led organization with the goal of making the OUTDOORS ACCESSIBLE TO EVERYONE. But first we need YOUR HELP! A little about us! We average 2,000 students memberships across the undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctorate student body and run approximately 50 trips per school year. We know the barrier to getting outside is HUGE and the initial investment to even figuring out whether you like it or not can be enough of an obstacle that many people don’t even try at all. But college is where you are supposed to try new things! This is where The Backpacking Club at UCLA steps-up. We strive to make our trips as low-cost as possible. This means we: Subsidize trip costs for participants Carpool to the max Go places that only require inexpensive permits and we THINK CREATIVELY! Feeling like you already want to support us? Please donate! Still unsure, then read on! Additionally, the club has a gear lending program where we loan out backpacking and camping gear free of charge to students joining club trips. Native Bruins (AISA) About AISA The American Indian Student Association (AISA) at UCLA is a student-led and student-funded organization built by Indigenous students, for Indigenous students and our community. American Indians represent less than 1% of the UCLA student population, giving us more of a reason to provide a community that celebrates belonging and culture. Our Mission AISA stands as a welcoming association open to all UCLA students. We have cultivated a robust and supportive community that nurtures American Indian, Alaskan Native, and First Nation students in their educational pursuits at UCLA. Within the Native Bruin community, students unite to advance education and cultural understanding. Together, we challenge misconceptions surrounding American Indian art, language, history, and lifestyles. Our strength lies in our diverse backgrounds; every member enriches our community with unique perspectives, fostering a vibrant environment. At AISA, we've pioneered student-led outreach initiatives tailored to empowering Native individuals in their higher education journeys. We host significant events annually, including Indigenous Peoples Day Celebration, Youth Conference/Basketball Tournament, and the UCLA Powwow. Land Acknowledgement We pay homage to the Gabrieleño/Tongva peoples, the original custodians of the Los Angeles Greater Basin and Southern Channel Islands, acknowledging their enduring connection to the land. Our Story For many of our members, AISA is more than just another organization on campus. It is where students meet people who understand their experiences, learn from one another, and stay connected to their cultures while being away from home. We create opportunities for students to grow academically and professionally, while also making space for our traditions, stories, and cultures to be shared with the larger UCLA community. One of the biggest ways we bring our community together is through our annual UCLA Powwow. The Powwow gives Indigenous students the opportunity to come together, reconnect with culture, and share our traditions with students, families, and visitors from across the community. IDEA Hacks 2027

IDEA Hacks is a hardware hackathon that welcomes and challenges competitors of all levels to work in a team and create a product in 36 hours.

IDEA Hacks is a hardware hackathon that welcomes and challenges competitors of all levels to work in a team and create a product in 36 hours. IEEE at UCLA Who we are: IDEA Hacks is an annual event put on by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) at UCLA. But what is it? IDEA Hacks is a hackathon, which is like a marathon but for people who enjoy locking themselves in a room to write code, build prototypes out of loose wires and breadboards, and solder components together to bring their dreams to life. Our hackathon runs for 36 hours straight, in that time our competitors will choose a track and have access to as many components as their heart, or team, desires in order to design and build a product that aligns with one of three subcategories. We pride ourselves with being the largest hardware hackathon on the west coast, usually seeing 200+ competitors enter each year to form around 50 teams each with their own unique ideas and backgrounds that come together to create stunning and innovative projects. Our hackers are primarily UCLA students though we welcome students from everywhere to compete alongside us and build their dreams! Our problem: The IDEA Hacks team is 30+ strong and has been and will be hard at work for months in preparation for this event but even with our combined efforts we find ourselves lacking. Everything has a cost and we want this event to be free to attendees so that there is no limit to whose plans come to fruition. We feed our hackers four meals over the course of the competition, supply them with snacks, room to hack, access to machinery, a series of workshops that cover concepts from product design to wireless communication, and perhaps most importantly of all electrical components. This racks up a bill. A bill we can’t cover with our budget alone which is why we’ve come to you! How donors can help: With your donation you will have a marked and visible impact on IDEA Hacks as individual components are cheap, but quantity isn’t. We’ll be able to make this year’s hackathon the best yet by offering a wide breadth of parts so that teams can work with components that are not only high quality but familiar to them. AIAA at UCLA The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) at UCLA is the largest professional aerospace engineering society on campus. During the school year, we prepare our students technically and professionally for careers in the aerospace industry by hosting networking events, workshops, and industry speaker panels. Additionally, we host and partner with other engineering club across campus to create career fairs and info sessions. The backbone of AIAA at UCLA is our four student technical projects: Rocket Project, Design Build Fly, Uncrewed Aerial Systems, and Bruin Spacecraft Group. These four clubs tackle complicated engineering challenges that equip students with industry relevant skills. Bruin Space Group, an AIAA club, is striving to test the bounds of their projects this year. BSG is beginning the manufacturing process of their 3U Cubic Satellite with manufacturing of the chassis. This will help them accomplish their project and achieve a remarkable feat in the spacecraft mission. This club is pushing the limits of aeronautics and astronautics while completing their academic journey here at UCLA, and they need help. That's where you come in. Help us give every UCLA student the opportunity to study abroad! UCLA Study Abroad Studying abroad changes how students see the world and themselves. They return with stronger language skills, greater independence, and experience that employers and graduate programs value. But rising costs are keeping many students from going. For first-generation, low- and middle-income Bruins, the price of airfare, housing, meals, passports, and program fees add up quickly, and costs are expected to keep going up. This summer, we saw more students than usual having to cancel their applications, with many citing financial concerns. About 80% of UCLA Travel Study participants were financial aid recipients this year, compared to around 50% in the past. You can help. This month, we're raising $20,000 so that more students can say yes to studying abroad, and so those who go can make the most of it. Passport and visa fees, program deposits, and required documents that must be paid before a student even leaves.</li><li>Getting there. Our goal is to raise $15,000 or more in operational funds to expand ULAA’s programs and services for undergraduate and graduate students and support alumni events and programs. Thanks to the incredible support, generosity, and ongoing efforts of our comunidad, we are excited to announce that we are increasing our campaign goal to $30,000! Why Does Your Gift Matter? Since 1989, ULAA has awarded more than 700 scholarships, including more than $125,000 in recent years. Today, the combined value of our scholarship funds exceeds $1 million, creating even more opportunities for the next generation of Bruins.</li><li> Career Panels and Workshops provide students with opportunities to build confidence, develop professionally, and connect with alumni and campus partners. Through programs such as Speak Up Mujer, Latinx Success Center (LSC) partnerships, Career Center collaborations, and HSI Initiative connections, we create spaces for students to connect, grow, and recognize their potential.</li><li> Summer Bruin Send Off welcomes first-year students and incoming transfer students to UCLA and connects them with resources, student organizations, and campus partners such as Wescom, UCLA Athletics, and the LSC Center.</li><li> Graduation Bash celebrates graduating students and welcomes them into the UCLA Latino alumni network, connecting them with alumni and leaders across industries as they take their next steps.</li><li> Job and Career Connections leverage our extensive alumni network to connect students with industry professionals who can help open doors to internships, jobs, and career opportunities.</li><li> Student Leadership gives students opportunities to serve on committees, work alongside board members, and contribute to ULAA’s mission while developing their own leadership skills.</li></ul> Get Involved.
