Enigmaversary 2026

Who are we?
If you're here you likely already know what Enigma is. In case you're new or need a refresher, Enigma is the premier club for sci-fi + fantasy, board games, RPGs, and other related things at UCLA. We provide an inclusive environment for everyone to enjoy these hobbies with people who share their interests. We had our first meeting in 1986, which means our 40th Anniversary is coming up next year. To celebrate, we will be hosting a four-day event featuring a boatload of activities and multiple free meals, open to all past and current members! It will a wonderful opportunity for our members to reconnect with each other and reminisce about what makes our club special while enjoying the activities we planned out for the long weekend.

What's the problem?

Given the scale of the event we have planned, we require a bit of funding in order to book venues and equipment, pay for food, and just generally ensure everything runs smoothly at minimal inconvenience to our attendees. Given that many of our activities will take place outside of UCLA, we can't rely on their funding for everything, nor would it be enough to cover our needs. As a result, we're asking for (tax-deductible!) donations from you, Enigma's past and current members, to help fund our 40th anniversary celebration.

How can you help?

We anticipate needing a minimum of $10,000 to cover all of our needs. Any extra will allow us to cover more expenses for attendees, such as independent activities and food on Sunday. A visual breakdown of anticipated costs is included below.

As you can see, your donation will help ensure Enigmans will be able to reach our planned activities, be well-fed during them, and have the equipment to properly enjoy them. In particular, if you plan to attend the anniversary, your donation will go directly to improving your experience. We welcome any amount you're willing to contribute, even a small donation could be an extra chair or meal Enigmafolk won't need to worry about. We're grateful for your help in making a successful anniversary celebration!
