Studies show that today 43 million Americans hold federal student loans, taking an average of 10 years to repay them. Not only is student debt a collective concern across the country, but this can prevent or detour many individuals from pursuing the opportunities that higher education has to offer in the first place.
Through the Affordability Initiative, UCLA is working toward a bold vision: to provide pathways to a debt-free education for all students by 2030.
