Empower Parenting Students at UCLA
At UCLA, we believe that every Bruin deserves the chance to thrive—not only for themselves, but for the loved ones who rely on them. With over 700 identified caregiving students enrolled at UCLA, Students with Dependents (SwD) Program provides critical resources for Bruins who are raising children, caring for family members, or serving as legal guardians, ensuring they can pursue their education while caring for others.
The holiday season is a time of joy and togetherness, but for students balancing school, caregiving, and financial strain, it can also be a source of stress. That’s why we launched Little Bruin Wishes: to bring peace of mind to parenting and caregiving students and brighten the season for their families.

This year, we aim to raise $25,000 to support even more Bruins with dependents. Every gift helps provide relief during the holidays and fuels year-round resources like scholarships, emergency funding, and counseling tailored to caregiving students’ unique needs.
A Lifeline for Bruins
The SwD Program serves a diverse community of students, including parents, guardians, and those caring for elders. These students face unique challenges—yet more than half of parenting Bruins are pursuing graduate-level degrees, showing extraordinary determination to reach their personal and professional goals.
Together, we can ensure they don’t have to choose between pursuing a UCLA education and caring for their families.
