Invest in Public Health and the Bruin Community

The UCLA Fielding School of Public Health is committed to improving health, advancing research, and training the next generation of public health leaders. Every day, our students, faculty, and alumni work to address some of the world's most pressing health challenges, from environmental hazards and infectious diseases to health equity and disaster response. 

Supporting FSPH ensures that these efforts continue. Your gift during this year's Blue & Gold Challenge helps students gain hands-on experience, enables critical research, and strengthens programs that directly impact communities locally, nationally, and globally. It is an investment in the people and initiatives that make a measurable difference in public health and in the lives of countless individuals. This year during the Blue & Gold Challenge, gifts to FSPH will support three critical initiatives: 

Applied Practice Experience (APEx)

Fielding students contribute over 60,000 hours each summer to hands-on public health experiences worldwide. Many of these opportunities are unpaid, and nearly half of our students need support to participate. Gifts to the APEx Fund ensure students can gain practical experience while making an impact in vulnerable communities. 

LA Wildfires and Impact on Public Health

Fielding researchers study the lingering health effects of wildfires, from toxic air and dust exposures to long-term mental and physical health impacts. Gifts to this fund support ongoing research, community monitoring, and initiatives that protect and rebuild affected communities. 

UCLA Center for LGBTQ Advocacy, Research & Health (C-LARAH)

C-LARAH improves the health and well-being of LGBTQ+ communities through research, care, and advocacy. Recent policy changes threaten critical funding for clinical trials, training programs, and community outreach. Your support ensures that essential work continues and protects decades of progress in LGBTQ+ health.
