Scholarships for UCLA Transfer Students

Our goal is to raise $10,000 for the UCLA Transfer Student Scholarship to provide 5 Bruins with a $2,000 scholarship!

UCLA’s Transfer Student Center serves Bruins who began their college career at a different institution and transferred to obtain their degree from UCLA. Transfer is the primary pathway for historically underrepresented students to attend UCLA. Transfers include, students with dependents, veterans, students over 25 returning to their education, first-gen Bruins & many more communities.  Our mission is to provide students with programming and support services that connect them to the university and empower them to achieve their personal, academic, and professional goals as they progress through their educational journey. The Transfer Student Center is located at 128 Kerckhoff Hall on the first floor. Please stop by and say hi!

The UCLA Transfer Student Scholarship is a $2,000 scholarship awarded through an application screened by staff volunteers, who are transfer advocates, from across UCLA and selected by the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships.

Transfer scholarships are made possible due to the generosity of our Bruin alumni donors and community, and by investing in the UCLA Transfer Scholarship, you will help prospective Bruins achieve their educational goals. Your gift to the Transfer Scholarships fund helps attract some of the most promising students to attend UCLA.

At least 1 in 2 students rely on financial assistance to attend UCLA, but the typical packages leave a significant gap in funding, resulting in students taking out loans and part-time jobs that detract from their studies and ability to focus on their professional development. We can do more for our students through scholarship support. 

Transfer Scholarships help students reduce the amount of money they borrow or pay out of pocket. These scholarships help students spend less time working to pay for their education and more time focusing on their schooling & building valuable professional skill sets in their future career field.

You can help students feel financially confident to pursue their passions—setting them on a path for future success. Scholarships provide academic freedom for students to craft an educational experience that is reflective of the unique and complex challenges of our society today.
