Dear supporters,
Thank you so much for your donation supporting Bruins studying abroad during our crowdfunding campaign last year. Thanks to your generosity, so many students are having life-changing experiences across the globe. One such example comes from our students in Australia.
The Global Health & Medicine program in Sydney and Cairns offers students an immersive academic experience. Our students visited hospitals and community health centers, shadowed doctors and received lectures from local medical faculty. This gave our students first-hand experiences with the health care system in Australia, as they studied it through a comparative and social lens. They even visited the US Consulate for Fulbright presentations and a base of the Royal Flying Doctors Service, an organization that flies medical teams to remote rural areas to provide care. At the end of their trip, they presented group poster projects at a medical conference.
Student experiences like these are only possible with the support of our community, and we are truly grateful. Thank you again for supporting education abroad at UCLA!
