Lapu, the Coyote that Cares (LCC) Theatre Company

On February 28, 2026, the Lapu, the Coyote that Cares (LCC) Theatre Company will present our 31st Annual Winter Show. On May 15 and May 17, LCC will present our 31st Annual Spring Show.

LCC was created in 1995 by Randall Park, Derek Mateo, and David Lee and is the oldest and largest collegiate Asian-American theater company in the country. Since its inception, LCC has continued to maintain its commitment to providing students a venue to write, direct, and act in their own works. Today, LCC strives to maintain its Asian-American roots and uphold its core purpose: to provide a safe space and a creative voice to anyone who wishes to be heard, to anyone who may not ever have a chance to express themselves otherwise. LCC welcomes members from all backgrounds, concentrations, majors, and viewpoints who share a common passion for theater.

Our Winter Show will cost over $9,000, with the venue alone costing $8,000. In order to keep this event free for our cast members and audiences, we must crowdfund to cover all the costs of our production, including props, programs, and advertising. For many of our cast members, this is their main creative outlet, putting in countless hours of their time and energy. With your help, this spark campaign will fund nearly half of our budget! Any money remaining will be allocated towards our Spring Show.

On behalf of the entire cast of the Lapu, the Coyote that Cares Theatre Company, thank you for your support! With your generosity, LCC ensures its legacy as an accessible and safe space for artistic expression.
