Support C-LARAH: Power the Future of LGBTQ+ Health

Help Save Critical LGBTQ+ Research!

The UCLA Center for LGBTQ+ Advocacy, Research & Health (C-LARAH) is at the forefront of life-saving research and innovation in LGBTQ+ health and HIV prevention. Our work prevents the spread of HIV and STIs, expands access to mental health and substance use care, and supports individuals living with HIV — improving and saving lives across communities.

We are proud of our longstanding success in securing research grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and other government agencies. However, recent policy changes threaten to roll back the progress we’ve already made and continue to halt the critical work we are doing at the global, national and state levels.

As a result, clinical trials, training programs, and community outreach efforts are in jeopardy. Without immediate intervention, the funding cuts we face will bring treatments to a standstill and leave both new and current patients without the care they urgently need.

These cuts threaten decades of progress and will lead to increased health disparities, worsening mental health and substance use disorders, higher incidence of HIV and STIs, and preventable deaths within the LGBTQ+ community.

Please support C-LARAH in our mission to continue valuable research and lifesaving care. Your contributions will help fund:

  • Our clinical trials
  • Rapid HIV and STI testing kits
  • Community based outreach
  • Our mobile health clinic
  • Bridge funding for our research and laboratory team members
  • Our volunteer program
  • Ongoing training programs

Your generosity is essential to safeguarding life-saving research, shaping health policy, and advancing health equity for the LGBTQ+ community—preventing irreversible setbacks and ensuring a healthier future.
