SSBU Esports Team Fundraising

About Us

The Super Smash Bros Ultimate (SSBU) Esports team is a group of players brought together by their passion and skill for the game. We regularly play in collegiate tournaments, such as the Big Esports Conference, Cal Rivalries, and UCEI, and local tournaments located in Sawtelle and Ktown.

What you should know

While most of our players have their own setups, the Esports team doesn’t have a set of controllers and setups that can be used for team practices. As most of our current players are graduating next year, we are fundraising to buy a shared set of equipment stored in our Esports Training Center that all our players can use, to lower the barrier of entry and to ensure everyone on the team has the opportunity to play.

In addition, our players pay out of pocket for the local tournaments they attend. With your support, we will be able to create a tournament fund to reimburse them in the future, and alleviate any potential financial burdens.

Furthermore, a lot of other clubs will benefit from an improved Esports Training Center, such as the Smash Club as UCLA and BruinGG, both of which have members who are interested in playing Smash but are unable to do so due to not having setups.

How you can help

With your support, we'll be able to continue the operation and expansion of the SSBU Esports team. We will be able to hold better practices and team events, and continue to expand and grow the team even further!
