Get Outdoors with the Excursion Club @ UCLA!

The Excursion Club at UCLA provides low-cost, equitable access to nature and outdoor activities for UCLA students. Our experienced and enthusiastic staff members facilitate connections and community while leading students on hiking, camping, kayaking, and skiing excursions. The Excursion Club Staff is the backbone of our club; they provide the environmental knowledge, leadership experience, and passion for creating meaningful group experiences in nature. We need your support to help fund important staff activities, such as our annual staff retreat, team-building workshops, and gear that staff can bring on their excursions. 

Excursion Club’s financial backing comes from member dues and funding from UCLA, however, these funds are used for our club trips. This means that any staff events or activities must be solely funded by our staff members, placing a large financial burden on our team. Financial assistance is needed to provide our team with funds to purchase necessary gear, attend educational and community-building staff retreats, and obtain wilderness first aid certifications. Looking forward, we’d love to take on more staff members, however, this would require solid financial backing. With your help, we’ll be able to grow our staff and obtain the necessary supplies and training that make for memorable outdoor excursions.

This spring, we are asking for the support of parents and friends who share a vested interest in supporting the Excursion Club. Support from this close-knit community is crucial, as your contributions will directly support the continuation of our staff’s service to the students and ability to explore and protect our natural wonders.
