About UCLA ACS on Campus

We are the American Cancer Society On Campus at UCLA, a collegiate branch of ACS committed to bringing the fight against cancer directly to students. Through education, advocacy, and year-round fundraising, we aim to create a world where no one hears the words "You have cancer." Our largest and most impactful event, Relay For Life, is a 12-hour festival held annually at UCLA’s Drake Stadium. It unites over 1,000 students, families, survivors, and caregivers in a vibrant and emotional celebration of life and community resilience.

Relay For Life is more than a fundraiser—it's a movement. The event is packed with activities including luminaria ceremonies to honor those fighting and who we have lost to cancer, a Relay Runway pageant style competition, a silent rave, studelt-led performances, and storytelling sessions that honor survivors and remember those we've lost. In the past 17 years, ACS On Campus at UCLA has raised over $2 million for cancer research and patient services. In the last five years alone, we’ve contributed over $1 million, directly supporting 11 UCLA-based research grants, free transportation to treatment, 24/7 patient helplines, and Hope Lodge accommodations.

Hosting Relay For Life 2025 costs $30,000, and your support helps us bring this life-saving event to the UCLA community.  Whether it’s $10 to light a luminaria in honor of a loved one battling cancer, or $2,025 to honor our most successful fundraising year, each contribution drives real change. Together, we can continue to fund life-saving research, support patients, and amplify the voices of survivors and caregivers.
