Help Support Men's Club Ultimate!

UCLA Men's Ultimate is a student-run competitive team that competes in D1 collegiate tournaments across the country. We've been throwing flicks since '96, and the players that came before us have built an incredible community that we are so grateful to be a part of. Like the previous Smaug and Smoke teams that have come before us, this team has once again outdone itself in the amount of commitment, passion, and friendship it created. 

This season, we've continued to grow as players, and as a family. We push each other on the field, support each other around campus, and build lasting friendships off the field. From team dinners to late-night study sessions, ultimate isn't just a sport for us—it’s our community.

The first costs to our club (all the essentials like discs, cones, agility ladders, and field rentals) are covered by our player dues. However, because ultimate is a relatively small sport, we travel across the state – and even sometimes out of state –  to compete in tournaments. That’s where costs quickly add up and where your help would really help make tournaments possible.

To compete, we need to rent vans, book flights, and find affordable lodging—often fitting five players into a motel room to keep costs low. Our goal is to make sure that no player ever has to miss out on a tournament because of financial constraints. While making every tournament cost-free for all players would be amazing, we know that's not realistic. However, what we can do is make sure that those who need help covering expenses can still travel and compete with their teammates. We also want to ensure our dedicated coaches, who already give so much to this team, don’t have to pay out of pocket to travel with us.

Last year, thanks to incredible support from donors like you, we had an unforgettable spring season. That generosity didn’t go unnoticed, and we are beyond grateful for everything our supporters have made possible – that included going to big tournaments like Northwest Challenge and Smokey Mountain Invite. 

This year, we had an incredible rookie class. With a relatively young team, we’ve already seen so much progress and we’re extremely excited to see where this team will go, both on and off the field. At the end of the day, what truly matters to us is that we get to play the sport we love with the people who make it so meaningful. Your generosity makes that possible. It allows us to chase our goals, strengthen our community, and create lifelong friends. For that, we can’t thank you enough.
