About UCLA Community School
Founded in 2009, the UCLA Community School at RFK is a unique partnership among the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), UCLA, and the school’s local communities of Koreatown and Pico Union. The school was created to address educational disparities in Los Angeles by offering a bilingual, multicultural education, and fostering an environment of academic excellence and cultural awareness.
Since its inception, UCLA Community School has seen significant growth. High school graduation rates climbed from 64% in 2012 to 94% in 2024. College enrollment rates have increased from 55% in 2012 to 80% in 2024 – surpassing district and state averages. These accomplishments reflect the dedication of the school's educators, families, and the broader UCLA community.
