To honor the 35th anniversary of the UCLA Lambda Alumni Association, we are pleased to announce our Spark Campaign aimed to raise money for the Lambda Alumni Scholarship fund. LGBTQ+ students face unique challenges that make paying for college a significant barrier to their education. Your support of the UCLA Lambda Alumni scholarship helps ensure future LGBTQ+ Bruins can pursue their education and achieve their full potential.
Your contribution directly supports LGBTQ+ students and ensures that the best and brightest students can attend and thrive at UCLA, no matter their financial circumstances.
The UCLA Lambda Alumni Scholarship recognizes outstanding LGBTQ+ undergraduate students who demonstrate excellence in and out of the classroom, have financial need, and exhibit qualities of integrity and leadership. The Lambda Scholarship is one of the longest running LGBTQ+ scholarships given by an alumni association and was first awarded on May 4, 1991. Since 2015, the UCLA Lambda Alumni Association has awarded a total of $41,000 in scholarship funds to LGBTQ+ Bruins! We take great pride in being a part of this scholarship tradition.
UCLA Lambda Alumni is the official alumni network for LGBTQ+ Bruins and friends. Founded in 1989, we are one of the oldest and most well established LGBTQ+ alumni networks in the country. In addition to raising money for scholarships, our association supports LGBTQ+ students by hosting/participating in UCLA events throughout the year, from Admit Week through graduation! We also provide alumni with social and professional networking opportunities, and engage with the larger Los Angeles LGBTQ+ community.
