With heartfelt Bruin love, the Bay Area Bruins Alumni Board would like to express our immense GRATITUDE for your generosity. In October 2024, we held our very first Spark Campaign scholarship fundraiser. We didn't know how it would go. We didn't know what goal to set. We knew from personal experiences that our alumni frequently get asked to donate to one thing or another. Would we succeed in generating any momentum?

YOU knocked our socks OFF!  

1. We set a goal to generate 55 donations of any amount.  We achieved 64 donations.....116% to goal.  
2. Your passion for student scholarships added $7,094 to our Marijane Viat/Bay Area Bruins Scholarship Endowment Fund.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

100% of your money will go toward Bay Area student scholarships for tuition.  Every student who receives our merit-based scholarship support will also become a member of the Alumni Scholars Club on campus where they will receive leadership training, mentoring, and participation in various acts of service to our community.  Together we are growing our next generation of Bruin leaders.

We are halfway through the month of October and we've raised $3,783 from 38 generous donors to the Bay Area Bruins Alumni Scholarship Fund.

We set a goal to attract 55 donors in October.  Today, we are 69% to goal!  

THANK YOU to everyone who has donated to date.  With your help, we will be able to offer tuition support to more Bay Area students. Yay!
