UCLA Wushu: Help Bring Nationals To UCLA!
“Wushu” or 武术 is a Chinese martial arts that incorporates a combination of traditional techniques and movements with modern acrobatic and performance elements. It is known for its dynamic and fluid movements which include kicks, punches, difficulty jumps, and weapon techniques. Since its development in 1950, Wushu has gained international popularity for its impressive displays of athleticism and artistic expression.

The Annual Collegiate Wushu Tournament (or more commonly referred to as “collegiates”) is a nationwide competition, where all college-level wushu clubs come together to demonstrate their skills, engage in friendly competition, and create meaningful connections with other wushu community members. It is an opportunity for students to celebrate the progress and achievements they have made throughout the year. 
On April 6th, 2024, UCLA Wushu has the honor of hosting the 25th Annual Collegiate. In order to host the large-scale tournament and provide a successful and memorable experience for all the spectators, competitors, volunteers, and judges, we need your help.
With your gift, UCLA Wushu will be able to ....
- Fund judges from up and down the coast
- Rent out competition equipment (wushu competition carpets, gym mats, sound systems, chairs, tables, score cards, etc.)
- Design medals and awards to give to each of the winning competitors and teams
- Create and purchase high quality merchandise for the collegiate event
