Who are we?
Exploring Your Universe, or EYU for short, is the largest annual graduate student-led science fair held at the UCLA Court of Science every year on the first Sunday of November! On that day, over 70+ science booths, planetarium shows, botanical garden tours, CNSI lab tours, and science talks come together to bring a fun, interactive science learning experience for K-12 students, especially from underrepresented backgrounds. Our program features subjects ranging from astronomy, biology, geology, chemistry, sustainability, psychology, and more! All activities are led by experts and scientists and geared for all ages (K-12+) and backgrounds.
How You Can Help!
Attending Exploring Your Universe is an incredible opportunity for students to dive into hands-on science and discovery, but we need your support to make it happen. Your contributions will ensure that financial constraints don't prevent students from experiencing this event. During these challenging times, we believe it is more important than ever to come together in support of science eduction and continue creating opportunities for our communities to engage, learn, and discover. By donating, you can help cover the costs of transportation and lunch for neighboring schools and ensure a great science fair experience for everyone—free of charge! Your generosity will give the public the chance to engage with exciting scientific exhibits, activities, and UCLA faculty at the cutting edge of their fields, inspiring curiosity within the next generation of scientists.
