FAST at UCLA Annual Runway

WHO IS FAST? WHAT IS THE SPRING ANNUAL RUNWAY SHOW?

Founded in 2001, Fashion and Student Trends (FAST) at UCLA is the premier fashion organization on campus. We lead multidimensional fashion engagement through runway, editorial, and film projects as a platform of both creative artistry and social-political discourse. The FAST at UCLA Annual Runway is our iconic two-hour event on May 31st from 7-9pm featuring 24 student-designed collections, 90 student models, and dozens of fashion and beauty industry sponsors. This $42,000 project is made possible by our team of 260 students and 13 departments who work behind the scenes establishing sponsorship deals, securing funding applications, executing marketing activations, and managing our Pauley Pavilion site.

WHAT IS OUR MISSION THIS YEAR?

FAST is committed to creating a space of diversity and inclusivity within an oftentimes exclusive fashion industry. Our projects from the 2024-25 year have aimed to increase the economic accessibility to fashion and expression both on campus and in the greater Los Angeles area. And by unpacking the intersection of fashion and our sociopolitical landscape, we are exploring the new age of fashion through journalism and visual artistry. FAST's Annual Runway contributes to the preservation of artistic expression and culture on campus and in LA. Moreover, it supports students in reaching careers in fashion by providing a platform to showcase talent and network with executive members of the fashion and beauty industries.
